Code of the Beavers, 5 rules for the members
- Members must respect each other
- Members must never use cheats, exploits or map glitches.
- Members must use their clan tags or give reason as to why they are not
- Members must donate monthly to help run the servers and website
- Member must inform the clan if they are going to be away for more than a month
Failure to play by these rules means a member can potentially have their admin rights and reserve slot revoked, removal from the clan, and also banned from TeamSpeak, the forums, and servers.
The community/clan tag will be awarded by invitation only. Anyone outside of the BF2142 Roster or BF2 Roster that is found wearing these tags in the server will receive an automatic kick. Consequent entries into the server by the same player AND still wearing the tag will then receive an automatic ban for good. An appeal after this occurence will be ignored.
So what does it mean to be a {DAM} beaver? We are an adult community where opinions & ideas are shared, and friendships are forged. It is truly "all about the members", as indicated in our slogan. We are not a 'competition/league/tournament' clan, thus could not care less about a player's skill level. The median age of our clan is mid/late-30's, which means we are an older gaming crowd with families, work, and other obligations. We don't have the time to schedule matches or join tournaments, let alone deal with the stress that comes with one. This clan is more about taking care of it's members and enjoying each other's company while we play something we have in common, regardless of how far away we live from each other.
You will probably see a lot of applicants being turned down in our recruitment section. The biggest stumbling block of these applicants and why they were turned down is simply because we as a clan were not given an opportunity to get to know them well enough through usage of both the forum board and TeamSpeak. If you are wanting to be a {DAM} beaver, you must regularly communicate with us through both the forum board and on TeamSpeak. At the same time, it gives you an opportunity to know who we are and experience our clan before an official join - in case we are not the type of clan you expect us to be. We can't please everyone, so no offence will be taken.
Think of it this way:
You're meeting a bunch of guys/girl in person who share a common interest - let's use an example of playing basketball. You play a few games of hoops with them and like their basketball court, style of play, teamplay, the location such as being close to home or in the neighbourhood of where you live, or whatever other reason you can think of. You'd like to hang out with them and ask to be a part of their circle of friends, yet not know who any of them are. Keep in mind that these 'friends' have different schedules and can only come to the basketball court at different times of the day to meet up for a game. Because we barely know you, do you think you can be buddies right away with us?
Clan Application Process:
- Create a new thread/submit an application for review in the Joining FerociousBeaver.com forum; state game(s) played, in-game name(s), why you want to join
- Clan will process the application and review within one week's time
- If approved, new recruit will join the Beaver Posse for a trial membership
- Recruit will remain in the Beaver Posse for a minimum of one week and a maximum of 6 months; timing affected only by clan member's sponsorship or expiration.
- After one week minimum to a 6 month maximum, the Beaver Posse member must have a minimum of two DAM clan members to sponsor them for full clan status
- A Beaver Posse member that does not see a sponsorship within 6 months will have their Posse membership reviewed by the Beaver Overlords
- A Beaver Posse member who receives a sponsorship within the first 2 weeks will then be subjected to a minimum 45-day evaluation period
- A Beaver Posse member who is sponsored after the first 2 weeks will be subjected to a 30-day evaluation period
- Once the evaluation period has been reached, {DAM} members will conduct an official vote for the Beaver Posse Recruit for full {DAM} Clan Member status
- All Beaver Posse members are subject to the same basic 5 rules of the Beavage including server donations and rules of conduct
- All Beaver Posse members will assume the {BvR}/(BvR) tag immediately and wear them at all times; no other tags are to be retained/worn
The following requirements must be met by all applicants prior to being considered for joining:
- Must have donated a monthly fee of 10$ and the first donation must be made before clan membership is given. You can find the donation page here
- minimum age of 19
- mic
- TeamSpeak usage/communication
- forum board usage/postings - consistency, not a handful of posts and then gone for the duration of your evaluation period
- cheat/glitch/hack-free
Each and every applicant will be given time to get to know the members. An applicant can start by reviewing as many threads on this forum board as possible, as there have been a ton of postings. Ask questions, make comments, join in on TeamSpeak, and get involved. Being a {BvR} member is easy, but being a {DAM} member takes time and patience, much like wine. We do not plan to leave anytime soon, and we hope the next newest {DAM} member doesn't either.
What's in it for you?
